The goal of Caring Department (CD) is to create a Christian community where CBCM Congregations can have the opportunity to deeply experience God’s love and faithfulness through care giving and care receiving when facing life challenges. Our ministry is diversified; see a list below. The CD acts as the steward of the CBCM Caring Fund to provide financial support in accordance with the Church policy for individuals experiencing financial hardship. Examples of financial hardship are unemployment, health problem, loss of immediate family member, victim of catastrophe and other crisis.

If you have or anyone you noticed has the need please don’t hesitate to contact or refer him/her to the CD Deacons. The identity of the care receiver will be kept confidential. Additionally, if any of you are interested in helping the CD ministries, please let us know. We are in needs of co-workers and volunteers.

Our Ministries:

  • Prayer; Visitations; Meals for the sick; Flowers for condolence
  • Bulletin Board Resources; Health fair
  • Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child– shoes boxes
  • Baby bottle campaign for Rockville Pregnancy Center
  • Stephen Ministry - one-to-one Christian caring for those who are bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, or other life challenges
